“Following my A Levels I went to work at Disneyland as a dancer, then onto cruise ships pursuing my ambition to perform. Whilst on my last cruise ship I started to study with The Open University and work towards my Masters in Business.
Northfleet School for Girls supported me fully and encouraged me to fulfil my passion for performing whilst also ensuring I had my academic grades to fall back on. Following performing professionally I worked for a global marketing company where I joined their internal graduate scheme. I worked with and managed some great clients such as Sky, Paramount Film Studios and Virgin Atlantic. I now own and run a small business specialising in training children in the Performing Arts.
NSfG taught me that it is okay to follow your dreams but always make sure you have a back up plan. Achieving my A Levels meant I could then
continue my studies whilst working and that ultimately opened up
more opportunities when I decided to stop dancing professionally.”
